BUT even if you were born in one of the countries listed above, you still have a chance to participate!
If your spouse was born in a country whose natives are eligible you can claim your spouse's country of birth together.
For example: if you were born in the UK (which is one of the excluded countries) and your spouse was born in Germany (whose natives are eligible)
you can participate at the Green Card Lottery.
Or, if your parents were born in a country whose natives are eligible you can claim the country of birth from one of your parents and participate!
The second requirement for entry refers to your education:
You must have either a high school education (or its equivalent defined as a successful completion of a 12-years course of elementary and secondary education),
OR two years of work experience within the past five years in an occupation requiring at least two years of training or
experience to perform.
